I found a pearl

I found a pearl in the sea (at list I think it is a real pearl and not a glass one where some smart has drop it from the beach) and I would like to examine it but I don't know how. It is white, perfect round shape with ridges, the size is 16 mm and the weight approx. 6 grams. I don't know if I can submit a photo here.
