quality of dyed chocolate pearls

hello, i have a customer asking if the quality of a pearl determines weather or not it will be dyed?? he wants to know if a better pearl is used or if a mediocre pearl is?? thanks!

The overriding factor in determining whether to dye a pearl is its color. A pearl with a peach or cream color is the preferred choice for chocolate. As to other aspects of quality a lustrous clean chocolate pearl required those same quality's in the pearl before dying.
